Submenus "flyout"

Hi, first of all thanks for a great solution. Really nice. I have one question for you.

When creating a link and add to a group, it will generate a submenu on the My links menu. But depending on the length of the link the submenu-flyout will sometimes go to the right and sometimes to the left. Is it possible to control this behavior? For example always show the submenu-flyout to the left of the main menu.

Thanks

Lars

Hi Lars,

The control is extending the ToolBarMenuButton class that's built in to SharePoint, so I don't have much control over that. However, one simple solution/hack would be to use the following CSS to specify a min-width which will cause the menu to always be too wide to go to the right.

	#MyLinksMenuRoot .ms-MenuUILabel
	{
		min-width: 75px;
	}

The only problem with this solution would be deploying it. If you're not familiar with your options in this regard, give me a brief overview of your environment and I might be able to give you a couple of ideas.

Thanks,
Randy
